In accordance with the spirit of the Notice of the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education on Doing a Good Job in the Education of the Second Bachelor’s Degree in 2023 and other documents, Tongji University will recruit full-time general second bachelor’s degree students in some majors in 2023, and this enrollment brochure is specially formulated in accordance with relevant regulations and requirements.
1. Enrollment major and enrollment plan
Full-time general undergraduate, two-year study, enrollment plan no more than 40 students. The specific enrollment plans and application requirements are as follows:

II. Enrollment Targets and Application Conditions
In 2023, Tongji University graduated from full-time general higher education with a bachelor’s degree. The original undergraduate major of the applicant should belong to a different discipline category than the major applied for, or belong to the same discipline but not the same undergraduate major. The disciplines and undergraduate majors to which specific majors belong shall be implemented in accordance with the “Catalogue of Undergraduate Majors of Ordinary Colleges and Universities (2020 Edition)”. Candidates must meet the following registration requirements:
Candidates must support the leadership of the Communist Party of China, have good ideological character, and abide by discipline and law;
Good performance at undergraduate level;
The physical condition meets the physical examination requirements of the enrollment major.
III. Registration Method
Candidates who meet the registration requirements should log in to our “Special Type Enrollment Registration System” (https://zsb.tongji.edu.cn/tslxzs) (hereinafter referred to as the registration platform) from May 12 to May 22, 2023, fill in the registration information truthfully according to the requirements and procedures of the registration platform, upload relevant registration materials, and complete the registration application. Each candidate can only fill in one professional volunteer. The application materials are as follows:
“Tongji University 2023 Second Bachelor’s Degree Enrollment Application Form” (signed and uploaded after downloading);
Identity card;
Transcripts at undergraduate level;
CET-4 and CET-6 transcripts or certificates;
Proof of undergraduate enrollment;
Materials that can reflect my comprehensive quality and ability (such as scientific research and innovation, paper publication, and social activity performance, etc.);

Candidates must upload all complete registration materials to the registration platform, and the uploaded registration materials should use scanned electronic documents to ensure that the uploaded electronic documents are clear and readable. If the uploaded registration materials are incomplete and unclear and affect the review of the materials, the candidate shall bear the responsibility. Those who fail to complete the registration within the time limit or fail to upload the relevant registration materials as required will be deemed invalid registration.
The current status of viewing the review results in the registration platform is “Pending Review” to indicate that the candidate has completed the registration process.
4. Assessment, selection and admission
1. Material review
For candidates who complete the registration as required and submit valid application materials, our school will organize experts to review the materials and determine the list of candidates who participate in the selection assessment according to no more than 150% of the enrollment plan. The list of candidates who have passed the material review will be published on the undergraduate admissions network and information disclosure network of Tongji University.
2. Exam selection
The form of assessment is written test plus interview, and the specific assessment content and time schedule will be notified separately on the registration platform.
3. Admission
Candidates are admitted on the basis of merit based on their assessment results. The list of candidates to be admitted is published on the undergraduate admissions network and information disclosure network of Tongji University.
5. School admission management
1. Admitted students should present the admission notice to the school within the prescribed period to complete the admission procedures according to the required period. Those who fail to register within the deadline will be deemed to have forfeited their admission qualifications.
2. Admitted students must submit the original and copy of their ID card, the original and copy of their graduation certificate and degree certificate, and the physical examination report issued by a second-class A or above hospital with medical examination qualifications within the past six months. Failure to provide graduation certificates, degree certificates and medical examination reports will result in disqualification. When a new student registers, if he or she has other higher education students, it will be deemed to have forfeited the admission qualification.
3. The learning mode of enrolled students is full-time full-time study, and the management of student status is implemented in accordance with the “Regulations on the Administration of Student Status of Tongji University” and is included in the school’s student status management system.
4. All personnel relations and personnel files of admitted students must be transferred to Tongji University at the time of enrollment, and can participate in the evaluation of academic scholarships, grants and merit scholarships, apply for national student loans, and be included in the basic medical insurance for urban residents in Shanghai during the study period. 5. The graduation certificate and degree certificate of the second bachelor’s degree shall be issued in accordance with the current management measures for graduation certificate and degree management certificate. 6. If the student fails to meet the graduation requirements within the prescribed period, the study time will not be extended and the grade repetition system will not be implemented, and a certificate of completion may be issued. For students who drop out, the school will issue a certificate of completion or a realistic learning certificate.
7. Students graduating from the second bachelor’s degree will be dispatched and go through the relevant employment procedures according to the status of fresh graduates of the current year. If a student withdraws from the school, he or she will be dispatched as a fresh undergraduate graduate in the year of withdrawal.
8. The annual fee for software engineering majors is 16,000 yuan, and for other majors is 5,000 yuan. The accommodation fee varies according to the accommodation conditions, generally 800-1200 yuan per academic year.
9. The campus of study and accommodation of the admitted students is the same as that of the undergraduate students of the corresponding major.
6. Supervision mechanisms

VII. Miscellaneous
