According to the official micro-news of the University of Science and Technology Beijing, on the morning of December 8, the university held a new school leadership announcement meeting, and the party group of the Ministry of Education appointed Huang Wunan as the vice president of the University of Science and Technology Beijing, and Jiao Shuqiang as the vice president, party committee member and standing committee member of the University of Science and Technology Beijing.

Huang Wunan

Huang Wunan, male, Han nationality, born in May 1975, graduate degree, master’s degree, member of the Communist Party of China. He used to be the Secretary of the Party Committee and the Executive Deputy Director of the Organization Department of the Party Committee of the School of Computer and Communication Engineering, University of Science and Technology Beijing; In May 2021, he served as the head of the Organization Department of the Party Committee of the University of Science and Technology Beijing, and in June 2021, he served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the University of Science and Technology Beijing.

Jiao Shuqiang

Jiao Shuqiang, male, Han nationality, born in November 1977, postgraduate degree, doctoral degree, member of the Communist Party of China. He used to be the director of the State Key Laboratory of New Iron and Steel Metallurgy Technology of University of Science and Technology Beijing; In October 2020, he served as the dean and deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Metallurgical and Ecological Engineering of University of Science and Technology Beijing, and in September 2022, he served as the executive deputy director of the State Key Laboratory of New Iron and Steel Metallurgy Technology of University of Science and Technology Beijing.

According to the official profile of Beijing University of Science and Technology, the university was established in 1952 by the Department of Mining and Metallurgy of six famous domestic universities such as Tianjin University (formerly Beiyang University) and Tsinghua University, named Beijing Iron and Steel Industry Institute, which is the first iron and steel industry institution of higher learning established in New China.
