Focusing on the frontier of energy research, the iEnergy Perovskite Summit was successfully held

From January 13th to 15th, the iEnergy Perovskite Summit was successfully held online. Co-hosted by iEnergy, Tsinghua University Press Journal Center and Department of Electrical Engineering of Tsinghua University, and co-organized by the Energy Internet Innovation Institute of Tsinghua University, the summit brought together top experts in the field of perovskite to discuss the latest research results and future development trends. The three-day summit completed a total of 61 conference reports, covering perovskite solar cells, perovskite luminescent devices and other research hotspots.

At the opening ceremony on the morning of the 13th, Professor Ding Liming, chairman of the summit and National Center for Nanoscience, delivered a welcome speech and thanked the participating report experts and delegates for their support. Professor Ding introduced that the summit was held with the support of iEnergy, an English-language international journal in the field of power energy founded by Tsinghua University, and he called on scholars in the field of energy to pay attention to and support the development of iEnergy, and earnestly looked forward to holding offline meetings in the near future to communicate face-to-face with participants.

Professor He Jinliang, editor-in-chief of iEnergy and Department of Electrical Engineering of Tsinghua University, introduced the purpose and scope of iEnergy to the participants. iEnergy is an interdisciplinary academic journal that aims to disseminate the latest research advances in cutting-edge fundamental theories and breakthrough technologies in the field of power and energy. In addition to publishing original research articles, iEnergy publishes research letters, reviews, news, expert opinions, research highlights and commentary from a wide range of fields.

On behalf of the organizers, Professor Kang Chongqing, Director of the Department of Electrical Engineering of Tsinghua University, thanked Professor Ding Liming and the experts and scholars who actively participated in the summit. Professor Kang Chongqing briefly introduced the historical evolution and development of the Department of Electrical Engineering, especially emphasizing that in recent years, the Department of Electrical Engineering has faced the major needs of the country, actively explored new directions such as the energy Internet, bravely shouldered the heavy burden of “stuck neck” technology, and overcome a series of key problems. At the same time, the Department of Electrical Engineering also attaches great importance to cutting-edge basic research, and Associate Professor Yi Chenyi led the team to make a series of innovative breakthroughs in the direction of “high-efficiency flexible solar cells”, which was selected as the highlight of Tsinghua University in 2022.

Chen He, senior director of the Journal Center of Tsinghua University, said that scientific and technological journals record and lead the development of science and technology, and the creation of high-level journals will help enhance China’s voice in the world scientific community. Tsinghua University attaches great importance to the development of journals, and iEnergy, with the support of Tsinghua University’s journal development project, has successfully published 4 issues since its inception, with a good development momentum. Tsinghua University Press will promote each paper published on iEnergy globally through various channels to improve the author’s visibility among peers.

After the cloud group photo, the summit officially entered the conference report session. Top scholars in the field of perovskite from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Chinese Academy of Sciences and other domestic research institutions presented 61 wonderful keynote reports, conducted in-depth and extensive exchanges on high-efficiency perovskite solar cells, perovskite cell stability, tandem solar cells, flexible solar cells, quantum dot solar cells and light-emitting devices, perovskite light-emitting diodes, lasers, detectors, etc., and warmly interacted with the online audience, answered questions and answers, and collided with the spark of academic ideas.

The summit was broadcast live through SciOpen Conference Live Room, Tsinghua University Energy Internet Innovation Institute Video Channel, Nano Research Video Number and Bilibili Live Room, Nano Research Energy Video Channel, Tsinghua DC Bilibili Live Room, Coshare Academic and other platforms, and the cumulative number of views on each live broadcast platform exceeded 32,000.
