Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics initiated the establishment of the Helicopter Innovation Alliance


On April 10, the inaugural meeting of the Helicopter Innovation Alliance was held in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. As the main initiator, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics joined hands with China Helicopter Design and Research Institute, Changhe Aircraft Industry (Group) Co., Ltd., Harbin Aircraft Industry Group Co., Ltd., AECC Hunan Power Machinery Research Institute, AECC Harbin Dongan Engine Co., Ltd., Beihang University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Aviation Industry Huiyang Aviation Propeller Co., Ltd., China Flight Test Research Institute, China Aviation Research Institute, AECC Southern Industry Co., Ltd. Helicopter Innovation Alliance”.
President Academician Shan Zhongde, Academician Xiang Jinwu, Deputy Director of the Academic Committee of Beihang University and Chair Professor Qian Weichang of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Deng Jinghui, Deputy Director of China Helicopter Design and Research Institute, Zhao Shuanghong, Deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese Society of Aeronautics, Lu Zaigui, Deputy Director of the Office of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense of Jiangsu Province and other leaders attended the conference and delivered speeches.

At the inauguration ceremony, Professor Zhao Qijun, vice president of the school’s scientific research institute and director of the helicopter branch of the Chinese Society of Aeronautics, introduced the road of helicopter innovation alliance construction. He focused on the purpose, function positioning and work content of the alliance, and said that the establishment of the alliance is inseparable from the solid cooperation foundation between all member units and our university, and in the future, China Southern Airlines will join hands with all member units to fully invest in the construction of the alliance and strive to build the alliance into an important platform for national helicopter innovation and cooperation.

At the meeting, all member units of the Alliance voted on the Charter and Council of the Helicopter Innovation Alliance, adopted the Charter of the Helicopter Innovation Alliance (Draft), the list of the Helicopter Council, and elected Shan Zhongde as the chairman of the Council of the Helicopter Innovation Alliance and Xiang Jinwu as the chairman of the Expert Committee.

“Helicopter Innovation Alliance” is proposed by Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, jointly initiated and established by colleges and universities, scientific research institutes, enterprises and related scientific and technological groups in the helicopter industry across the country, aiming to focus on national strategic needs, build a closer innovation system with deep integration of industry, education and research, create more innovation consortium innovation communities, further improve the level of openness and sharing, continuously enhance the independent innovation ability of alliance members, and provide a steady stream of senior professionals in the helicopter field. Better promote major scientific and technological innovation and the transformation of major achievements in the helicopter field, empower the development of the helicopter industry at a high level, and provide basic and strategic support for the solid promotion of Chinese-style modernization.
