On May 26, the 2022 Soft Science Chinese College Students Satisfaction Survey Report was officially released.
This is the first time that Soft Science has released a satisfaction survey report for college students nationwide, covering seven aspects: school reputation, teacher teaching, learning style, campus life, student service, growth perception, and comprehensive experience.
The report is based on a questionnaire survey conducted by SoftCo from September 23 to November 30, 2021. The survey collected more than 300,000 questionnaires, of which 178105 valid questionnaires, covering 2596 colleges and universities in China.
Judging from the overall satisfaction of college students with colleges and universities, 78.6% of students are relatively satisfied with the university study life, 14.5% of the students think it is average, and only 6.9% of the students are dissatisfied with the university study life to varying degrees.
Overall satisfaction of college students
Among them, students of central universities (undergraduate-level colleges and universities affiliated with central ministries and commissions such as the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) have the highest overall satisfaction with their schools, with 59.4% of students feeling satisfied or very satisfied; 50.5% of students of local colleges and universities (public undergraduate-level colleges and universities affiliated with provincial local governments) are satisfied or very satisfied with the school experience.
Surveys show that college students care the most about daily-related projects. Among them, “comfortable dormitory conditions” and “low-cost food in the canteen” received the highest degree of concern, with 74.1% and 74.0% of students believing that they were concerned or very concerned about the work.
How much college students care about school services
The survey selected the 10 projects that undergraduates paid the most attention to, and ranked the satisfaction of relevant questions of undergraduate-level universities with more than 100 valid questionnaires.
First of all, students are most concerned about whether they live well or not. Southern University of Science and Technology, China University of Mining and Technology, and Tsinghua University won the top three accommodation conditions. According to the survey, most of the school dormitories with high satisfaction have air conditioning, electric fans, network interfaces, balconies, independent bathrooms, and 24-hour non-stop electricity in dormitories.
Is it good to eat? It is the condition that undergraduate students care about second.
In terms of campus restaurants, universities in Beijing and Shanghai have achieved high satisfaction. Among the top 20, Beijing and Shanghai universities occupy half of the country. Both Tsinghua University and Peking University have more than 70 percent of students who are satisfied with their food choices and prices, ranking in the top two for job satisfaction. Students from Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tongji University and East China Normal University were all satisfied with the school’s canteen and entered the top ten.
Eat and live well, it is time to care about the study problem. In terms of university library resources, the survey shows that students of central universities generally have high satisfaction with the school’s library, and among the top 20 universities, the central universities occupy 18 seats. Among them, students of Southern University of Science and Technology have the highest satisfaction with the school library, with 92.7% of students expressing satisfaction. More than 85% of students at Shanghai Jiao Tong University are satisfied with the school’s library, ranking second. Fudan University’s library satisfaction ranked third, with 80.8% of students satisfied.
Who is the most beautiful university? Among the versions that have been circulated on the Internet, Xiamen University and Wuhan University are inseparable. According to this survey, students of Southern University of Science and Technology are relatively satisfied with the environment of their alma mater, and unexpectedly obtain the highest satisfaction. Then there are Xiamen University, Wuhan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Tsinghua University. The top five universities have more than 80% of their students
In terms of humanizing student management, colleges and universities that are known for their liberal arts have relatively high student satisfaction. Peking University, Fudan University, East China Normal University and Shenzhen University are in the forefront.
In terms of medical services, university students in Beijing and Shanghai have a high satisfaction rate for medical conditions and services. Among them, Tsinghua University, Peking University, Fudan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Shenzhen University ranked in the top five.
