Tu Qingyun, vice president of Beijing Normal University, became president of Qinghai Normal University


On November 23, the official website of the Qinghai Provincial People’s Government released a notice on the appointment and dismissal of personnel. It mentioned that according to the needs of work, Tu Qingyun was appointed as the president of Qinghai Normal University (temporary position for 3 years); Shi Peijun was removed from the post of president of Qinghai Normal University.

Previously, Tu Qingyun served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and vice president of Beijing Normal University.

According to the official website of Beijing Normal University, Tu Qingyun, male, Han nationality, born in June 1963, member of the Communist Party of China, professor and doctoral supervisor.

From 1981 to 1988, he studied at the Department of Physics of Beijing Normal University, obtained a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science, and after graduation, he stayed on to teach, and received a Doctor of Science degree in 2002 (jointly trained by the Department of Physics of Beijing Normal University and the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences). His main research field is experimental condensed matter physics, and he has published more than 60 papers and presided over or participated in more than 10 research projects.

Since January 2019, Tu Qingyun has served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and vice president of Beijing Normal University. Responsible for talent training, library and literature work; He is in charge of the Academic Affairs Department (Graduate School) and the Library.

Prior to that, Tu Qingyun successively served as Assistant Dean of the Department of Physics, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Office, Deputy Dean of the Department of Physics, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office and Director of the Admissions Office, Director of the Academic Affairs Office and Director of the Admissions Office, Director of the Academic Affairs Office, and President of Zhuhai Branch of Beijing Normal University.

Beijing Normal University is the counterpart of Qinghai Normal University. On July 30 this year, the Fifth Counterpart Support for Qinghai Normal University Joint Conference was held. The meeting was chaired by Ma Jun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Beijing Normal University.

At the meeting, five counterpart support universities, Beijing Normal University, Shandong University, Lanzhou University, Shaanxi Normal University and Central China Normal University, summarized the support work since 2018. Ma Jun said that the Party Committee of Beijing Normal University attaches great importance to counterpart support for the work of Qinghai Normal University, and has built a perfect and efficient assistance work mechanism, through counterpart support work, Qinghai Normal University has achieved a new leap, explored a new model of “one school to help one province”, and driven Qinghai Province’s basic education to achieve new development.

Previously, the president of Qinghai Normal University was Shi Peijun. According to Qinghai Daily in August 2018, in order to implement the national education aid strategy and promote the priority development of Qinghai education, according to the cooperation framework agreement signed between the provincial government and Beijing Normal University, Beijing Normal University selected Shi Peijun, executive vice president and discipline leader, to serve as the deputy secretary of the party committee and president of Qinghai Normal University.
